Wow! It has been a LONG time!

well, hello to whoever reads blogs anymore. Everyone that I followed hasn't
Blogged in years either. So, my Previous was on RK having an issue with the umbilical cord.
After birth, her blood glucose was 18
And her respiration a were fast. After handling all of this, then she had jaundice and have 72 hours
Of antibiotics before she could leave NICU. In the midst of all of this they check her kidneys. From what I understand she has/had an adrenal hemorrhage on the top of her right kidney. We did an ultrasound on it Often to see what It might do, or of it would stay the
Same size. We've just finished our scans several months ago. There
Was not much comfort to go to an Oncology clinic. If her hemorrhage grew, then chances are she
Would have neuroblastoma. So we prayed. Now, there was a tiny speck on the last scan and we
Chalked it up to Being scar tissue. Glad that's done with. She's grown so much and has her own attitude. Or maybe she has my attitude?  She's very strongwilled and refuses all help. She is
Now in 3K and I'm scoring this school year Bc my babies are growing before my very eyes. Caden is 9!  It makes me sad to think they will leave our home to start their own life. I will feel so much concern for them. Caden is half way to driving. :( but for now, we will make it through 4th grade & 3K. They can drive me nuts in 2 seconds, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. There have been jobs dropped in my lap that I said yes to and then they never called back to wrap up. So I went about my business.  I quickly realized God had something else for me in store. I need to help a
Family member as much as Possible while keeping my own family afloat. Now, I'm so excited that all of the meet the teacher is over. I Was truly having a Panic attack and I'm not exaggerating at all. You couldn't even get to the teacher. I think we will go
To the beach during meet the teacher next year. Idk if I can do that again!  I'm so thankful my babies are happy & healthy and to be able to pour the love of God into them every day.

Little bit of lately

So far we are 24 weeks pregnant with our little girl, Riley Kate! We are all so excited to meet her. We went last week to UAB for a detailed ultrasound b/c they can only find 2 vessels in her umbilical cord (there should be 3). She still only has 2, but everything is fine. They will recheck her growth at 32 weeks at my doctor. In my mind I've had a few goals to meet. I've wanted to make it to Thanksgiving weekend and not have any major complications, and next I want to make it until Christmas and not have any. So, one goal down, one to go. So far RK is growing very well, last week she weighed 1.5 lbs, which is just a little more that some babies. They said she's definitely getting some great nourishment. I will try to also remember to upload the ultrasound picture of her with her foot basically in her mouth. As of right now we've made steady progress with the nursery. Still, to me, lots to be done, but it's pretty much all set up. We have a crib, changing table, chenille glider with matching ottoman, exersaucer, a huge bag of baby clothes, burp clothes handmade by my mom, bedding with a curtain, headbands, 3 hairbows, 2 pairs of shoes, and about 5 boxes of diapers. This is a good start, but must move along and get things completely done soon. I think I'll know what I will be doing when I'm off of work during Christmas break!
About now Caden is 5 1/2. He'll be 6 right after she is born. He constantly is asking questions that most 5 year olds ask a million times a day. Yesterday he said bread was made out of fluffiness, and then said I'm not kidding, it really is. Where he comes up with this stuff, I haven't a clue., but he keeps us laughing that is for sure. He enjoys school, but it does wear him out. He has really enjoyed this week off and is hoping that everyday that he wakes up now it will be Christmas Day! We finally got our tree put up this weekend. We are going to get a few more ornaments b/c ours seem to dwindle down every year and also get something for the yard this week to finish up our decorating.
